Whale Watching

  

Come and join us for some adventure cruising and experience the amazing sights of seeing the whales up close in their own natural environment.

These cruises are seasonal and are only operated in Peak season to maximize your chances of seeing numerous whales on their migration.

The first season of the year is when the whales are traveling North to warmer waters. The Fantasea Whale watching season lasts for around mid month of June and the first weeks in July.

The second season of the year is when the whales are traveling south back to the cooler waters of the Antarctic with the calves. This season operates for around October to early November.

Obviously these dates do slightly change depending on the location of the whales so it is always a good idea to check for cruise dates on the website or by calling our friendly staff in the Fantasea office.

The whale watching journey picks up at Palm Beach at 8:30am and Ettalong Beach at 9:00am. Once departing Ettalong Wharf we are on Whale watching lookout as they can be only minutes away in the nearby Broken Bay.

The duration of the whale watching cruises are 3 hours from Ettalong and 4 hours from Palm Beach. There is light food and beverages available for sale throughout your cruise and a Complementary Morning tea is provided.

Bookings Online Terms and Conditions

  • Payment in full is required upon booking prior to the commencement of service. Preferred payment is via CreditCard, in the case of a credit card not being available a personal / bank cheque is accepted via the post or delivery to the Fantasea Palm Beach Ferry administration office.
  • Privacy & security Policy: Fantasea Cruises does not pass on any disclosed information to third parties other than the relavant Australian Government bodies in emergency situations. Contact information may be used in case of cruise cancellation advisories and some direct marketing information. All credit card details are destroyed once payment has been approved.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fantasea Cruises gives notice that the passengers & his/her guests embark on the cruise vessel at his/herown risk & Fantasea Cruises will not be liable or responsible for any accident, injury or death to the passenger & his/her guests, for whatever cause arising or whether due to some negligent act or omission on behalf of Fantasea Cruises or any of its servants.
  • The company also gives notice that all cruise confirmations are issued by them and/or their agent upon the epress condition that the companyand/or their agent shall not be liable or responsible at law for illness, injury or death of any passenger or for any damages to, or loss of any luggage or other personal possessions of ant passenger howsoever or wheresoever caused & whether due or partly due to some negligent act oromission of the company of it's ervants or agents.
  • Fantasea Cruises reserves the right to cancel or vary this service in any way.
  • The company is not a common carrier & reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger, luggage or goods without assigning any reason thereof.
  • Fantasea Cruise shall not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise or be alleged to arise in the event of the cancellation of this service of the abandonment of the service during the course of thereof or any deviation or delay in any service arising from any cause whatsoever.
  • The company reserves the right to substitute any other vessel or vessels & the company will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by such substitution or cancellation.
  • ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED AT ANY TIME ON BOARD ANY WHALE WATCH CRUISE.
  • WHALE GUARANTEE
  • In the unlikely event of not seeing a whale on a cruise, the customer is welcome to rebook another whale watching cruise free of Charge.
  • Please note this is subject to availability onboard other cruises so don’t delay, book your cruise before time runs out.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
  • Once the cruise is booked there will be no refund given for cancellations - the booking can be rescheduled for another cruise date OR
  • a voucher to the same value will be issued to be used on any Fantasea Palm Beach cruise or service
  • Cruise bookings can be rescheduled 24 hours prior to the commencement of the cruise with no penalties
  • rescheduling within 24 hours to the commencement of the cruise will result in a $20 administration/service fee and is subject to cruise availability
  • Failure to board a booked cruise will result in 100% loss of booking and payment - there will be no refund.
  • If for any reason such as bad weather a cruise is cancelled Fantasea Cruises Palm Beach will offer to rebook on another cruise to the same value, OR will provide a full refund or vouchers to be used on any Fantasea Palm Beach Ferry Service.
